The City Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO) Water Quality Management team spearheaded a weeklong series of clean-up drives in major waterways across the city, reinforcing efforts to protect the environment and raise public awareness on water conservation.

Barangay officials and community volunteers joined forces in cleaning sections of key water channels: the Abacan River in Tabun, Sapangbalen Creek in Pulungbulo, the Abacan River in Ninoy Aquino, and Lazatin Creek in Sto. Domingo. The Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office (PENRO) river rangers also provided guidance and support during the operations.

These clean-up activities reflect the local government’s commitment to improving water quality and safeguarding natural resources for future generations, under the leadership of Mayor Carmelo “Jon” B. Lazatin II.
