Several students were injured after water bottles thrown into the crowd hit concertgoers during the University Days (U-Days) 2026 concert on January 31, according to a news report by The Angelite, the official student publication of Holy Angel University.

Three students were brought to the university clinic, including students from the School of Nursing and Allied Medical Sciences and the School of Engineering and Architecture, as well as one student from a nearby university. Some reportedly suffered bleeding injuries and were later referred to a hospital for further treatment.

A member of the Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC) said the bottles were intended to be distributed to students but were thrown to reach those farther from the stage, adding that they apologize for the injuries caused.

University Student Council President Adonis Cayanan said throwing water bottles was not part of the event’s approved protocols, noting that safer distribution methods should be followed.

The report said the injured students are now safe and recovering, with the university assisting in covering medical expenses for those affected.
