The YAKAP Clinic team of Sacred Heart Medical Center met with the Office of the Vice Mayor of Magalang to reinforce the Referral Program for cancer screening services for Magaleños.

The initiative aims to improve the community’s health-seeking behavior—from initial consultations in primary care to undergoing preventive cancer screenings for earlier detection and timely disease prevention.

Through the PhilHealth–YAKAP Program, patients may now avail of cancer screening tests for breast, lung, liver, and colon cancer in private hospitals at no cost (No Cash-Out Basis) — a major step toward more affordable and equitable access to healthcare.

The team also encourages other LGUs to partner with them to further expand health services for their constituents. Together, they hope to bring the warmth of “YAKAP” and compassionate care to every Magaleño family.
