In a move that underscores its commitment to sustainable and responsible development, Timog Silangan Development Corporation, in collaboration with The Hauslands, recently hosted a product demonstration of Terminate Protegoโข, a groundbreaking 2-in-1 Anti-Moisture and Anti-Termite Polymer Underlay Sheet. The event was held at the Timog Triangle Project, the take-off point for what is envisioned to be the next phase of eco-conscious construction practices in Pampanga.
Terminate Protegoโข introduces an innovative shift in homebuilding methodologyโprioritizing environmental health without compromising on cost or quality. Designed to replace conventional termite and moisture protection methods, this advanced underlay sheet prevents termite infestation while eliminating the need for soil poisoning โ long a standard practice in the construction industry.

โThis initiative reflects our commitment to practice environmentally friendly methodologies, as we promised during the inauguration of Timog Triangle,โ said Mr. Mario Trinidad P. Lazatin of Timog Silangan Development Corp. โInstead of poisoning the soil for anti-termite protection, we use this technologyโa plastic membrane infused with anti-termite chemicals that prevents the leeching of harmful substances into the ground.โ

For Lazatin, the adoption of Protego technology is more than just a construction upgrade โ itโs a legacy project. โOur commitment to our clientele is to provide clean water for the next generation. We hope this encourages other contractors and developers to follow suit,โ he added.
Despite its advanced formulation, Terminate Protegoโข remains cost-effective. The expenses incurred for moisture and termite protection remain the same, but with longer-lasting and more sustainable results. โItโs an environmentally responsible and economically viable solution,โ Lazatin emphasized.
The demonstration gathered key engineering and development figures, including Engr. Lealyn Bricenio (RPHinlog Structural Consultancy & Construction Services Inc.), Engr. Lyra Libar, Engr. Mary Luna Matulin, Engr. John Paul Gopez, Engr. Jose Cornelio Fronda, Engr. Marvin (The Hausland Group), Ms. Cecile Lazatin, Engr. Angela Mae Aloro, Engr. Antonino Aligaen, and Engr. Robert Reyes (ESCA Engineers).
As the first of its kind in the region, the Protego product demonstration signifies a major step forward in integrating sustainable technologies into real estate development. Through initiatives like this, Timog Silangan and The Hauslands reaffirm their leadership not only in building homesโbut in building healthier, greener communities for generations to come.
