Projected as the newest central business district of the north, Megaworld formally opened its Main Avenue in Capital Town on February 22.
As the developers showcased the entirety of the township project in Megaworld Capital Town, the audience’s backdrop was the near completion of the 14-storey Chelsea Parkplace.
“The city government of San Fernando extends its gratitude as Megaworld recognizes San Fernando’s intention to maintain heritage while pushing improvements,” said Vice Mayor BJ Lagman.
The continuing story of emergence of the Capital town in San Fernando was also commemorated during the event as Megaworld emphasizes then symbolic significance of the PASUDECO.
“While the sugar mill is no longer here, the dream of PASUDECO to improve the lives of the people is still alive,” shared Andrew Escaler, joint venture partner.
The road opening commenced through a ceremonial drive of six vintage cars heading to Lazatin Boulevard.
The Megaworld Group also made the path accessible on peak hours to reduce traffic in the city.
Earlier, a concrete pouring segment took place for the first BPO tower which is the PASUDECO Tower.
On the early phase of the construction, three towers were already sold-out and the corporation pledged to provide more employment opportunities from their developments.
