200 volunteers unite for Abacan River clean-up

Around 200 volunteers from various sectors are set to take part in Isang Pintig Para Sa Malinis At Ligtas Na Tubig, a large-scale clean-up drive along the Abacan River on February 21 at 6:00 a.m., led by Balibago Waterworks.

Participants include representatives from Nagkakaisang Guardians, Soliman EC, Philippine College of Criminology, Mekeni Food Corp., ARAW-ACI, the Barangay Balibago Local Government Unit, and the Angeles City Council headed by Vice Mayor Amos Rivera, together with city councilors and their staff.

The activity will begin with a short program at the Balibago Waterworks building in Pulung Maragul, Angeles City. This will be followed by the clean-up operation along the Abacan River, particularly in front of Systems Plus at Abacan Loop in the Balibago area.

Organizers said the initiative aims to strengthen community unity and promote environmental responsibility, especially in support of ongoing efforts to rehabilitate and maintain the cleanliness of the Abacan River.

They also encouraged the public to take part in similar activities that contribute to a cleaner and safer environment for everyone.
