The Carlos Palanca Foundation, Inc. is now accepting entries for the 𝟕𝟑𝐫𝐝 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐨𝐬 𝐏𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐚 𝐌𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐋𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞, the country’s most prestigious and longest-running literary competition.

Open to all Filipino citizens and former citizens—regardless of age or residence—the Palanca Awards welcomes entries in multiple categories across four divisions, with a limit of one entry per author, per category:

This year’s ‘Kabataan’ theme focuses on Artificial Intelligence and how it reshapes learning and problem-solving. Young writers are asked to reflect on how AI can be used effectively while upholding personal responsibility, independent thinking, and ethical integrity.

Eligible entries include works published or produced between June 1, 2024, and June 30, 2025, as well as unpublished or unproduced pieces. Works that have won in another competition before June 30, 2025, are not eligible.
