𝟱𝟬 𝗙𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗼 𝗙𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗵𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘀

City of San Fernando Mayor Vilma Balle-Caluag led the official turnover of the relocation units of housing to 50 Fernandino families affected by the North-South Commuter Railway Extension Projects on July 12, 2023, at the phase 2 of the San Fernando View Residences in Calulut. 

Mayor Caluag was joined by officials of the Department of Transportation (DOTr), Philippine National Railways (PNR), National Housing Authority (NHA), the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD), and private partners from the Japan International Cooperation Agency and Asian Development Bank.

The recipients of the housing units extended their gratitude to the local government and involved agencies for providing them a decent relocation within the city.

Mayor Caluag underlined the positive effects of the railway project on the City of San Fernando and the country and thanked the affected families for their cooperation and willingness.

DOTr Secretary Jaime Bautista thanked Mayor Caluag and the Fernandinos for the city’s strong support of the railway project and vowed to help the relocated families in more ways following this undertaking.

Others present at the event were NHA General Manager – Mr. Joeen Tai, NSCR-Ex-PMO Project Manager – Architect Ahn Meg J. Adonis, DOTr Undersecretary for Railways – Cesar Chavez, DOTr Usec. Atty. Gary De Guzman, and Commission on Human Rights (CHR) Regional (III) Director Atty. Leorae D. Valmonte, and CSF LGU officials City Councilor Reginaldo ‘G4’ David, Local Housing and Settlement Division Chief Jesus Nuqui, and barangay officials of the affected families’ previous residences.
