Around 16,675 Candabaeños affected by severe flooding received assistance from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) in partnership with the Pampanga provincial government.

Vice Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda personally visited Candaba with Pampanga Mayor’s League President Jun Tetangco, Candaba Mayor Rene Maglanque, Vice Mayor Thelma Macapagal and other local officials to check on residents affected by the widespread flooding.

Pineda assured affected families of the provincial government’s continued support, saying they only need to communicate their needs.

Families from Bahay Pare, Pulung Palazan, Barit, Talang, Tenejero, Dalayap, Mangga, Mandasig, Pasig, Pansinao, Lanang, Pescadores, Buas, Sto. Rosario, Gulap, Paralaya and San Agustin received food packs containing rice, canned goods and other basic necessities to support their recovery.
