Rescue teams recovered another victim from the collapse site of the structure in Barangay Balibago on Wednesday morning.

The Unified Command reported to Responsible Official Mayor Carmelo ‘Jon’ Lazatin II that the victim, an unidentified male, was extricated from Quadrant 2 of the site at around 10:57 a.m. and was turned over for transport following standard procedures at 11:13 a.m.

The remains will undergo Disaster Victim Identification (DVI) procedures to establish the victim’s identity and facilitate notification of the family.

As of the latest report, the number of confirmed fatalities from the incident has reached 24.
