33 schools benefit from CDC, Clark locators’ Brigada Eskwela – The Voice Newsweekly

Some 33 schools from the Metro Clark area benefited from Clark Development Corporation’s (CDC) Brigada Eskwela 2022, which is in partnership with Clark locators.

The schools in Pampanga and Tarlac received construction and paint materials, including supplies such as printers, inks, projectors, boxes of face masks, gallons of alcohol, and fire extinguishers from the benefactors.

Armchairs made from recovered woods in Clark were also given by CDC Environmental Permits Division (EPD) headed by Engr. Rogelio M. Magat as part of the donations.

On behalf of CDC President and CEO Atty. Agnes VST Devanadera, CDC Director Atty. Bryan Matthew C. Nepomuceno welcomed the participants and beneficiaries during the turnover rites.

“First, I would like to acknowledge our benefactors. Thank you so much for your generosity and your love for education to support these deserving schools. And to the beneficiaries, congratulations to all of you. I’m happy to say that at CDC, there is a need to help the education sector, particularly those in the public schools’ sector,” he said.

Bamban, Tarlac Public Schools District Supervisor Rosalinda C. Bartolome expressed her appreciation to CDC and Clark locators in her acceptance message.

“I would like to thank CDC for inviting us here and congratulate them as well for this noble and kind gesture on their project “Brigada Eskwela 2022: Tugon sa Hamon ng Ligtas na Balik-Aral,” she said.

“On behalf of all the recipients, I extend my sincere gratitude to the benefactors for your thoughtful and generous donations. This is truly a big help to our schools especially to our learners. We wholeheartedly accept all the donations with a deep sense of gratitude,” she continued.

Among the locators who handed their donations are the Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI), Bolder Philippines Ltd., Inc., Evertrust Business Solutions, Inc., Fontana Hot Spring Leisure Parks, Global Square Plaza Philippine Corp., LSG Industrial, and Sumidenso Automotive Technologies Asia Corp. (SAT-A).

Brigada Eskwela is a joint Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) project of CDC’s External Affairs Division (EAD) headed by CDC Assistant Vice President for External Affairs Rommel C. Narciso, in partnership with Clark locators which has been held annually since 2012.

Under the CSR and Placement Division (CSRPD) headed by its manager Herbert S. Angeles, it aims to mobilize parents, alumni, non-government organizations, teachers, students, and other individuals to volunteer their time and skills to do repairs, maintenance work, and clean-up of public elementary and secondary schools.
