51 Barangay Patrol Units deployed to boost peace and order in Pampanga

A total of 51 barangay patrol units have been distributed across several municipalities in Pampanga as part of efforts to strengthen peace and order in the province.

The turnover of the third batch of patrol units was led by Governor Lilia ‘Nanay’ Pineda in partnership with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Region 3, headed by Regional Director Venus Rebuldela.

The newly deployed units were distributed as follows:

  • 11 units – Minalin
  • 12 units – Apalit
  • 7 units – Santo Tomas
  • 21 units – Bacolor

With this latest distribution, a total of 247 patrol units have been turned over out of the 505 barangays targeted under the program. The total value of the distributed tricycles has reached approximately ₱29.6 million.

Local chief executives who attended the event include Apalit Mayor Jun Tetangco, Minalin Mayor Philip Naguit, Bacolor Mayor Eduardo Diman Datu, and Sto. Tomas Mayor John Sambo, together with provincial department heads.

Also present during the turnover were several provincial board members, including Atty. Claire Lim, Dr. Kaye Naguit, Fritzie David-Dizon, Atty. Vince Calara, Christian Halili, Lucky Labung, and Mymy Gonzales, along with Executive Assistant IV Angie Blanco.

Officials said the initiative forms part of ongoing efforts to enhance community safety and improve response capabilities at the barangay level.
