The Hauslands became the first stop of the Balacat Festival Caravan, as Mabalacat City celebrates its Balacat Festival, an annual, celebration for the Mabalaquenians to appreciate local culture, arts, history, and heritage.
The Balacat Festival also highlights the city’s thrust towards greater heights of progress and a stronger vision of development in the area.
In partnership with the Mabalacat City’s Office of Tourism, City Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO), and Mabalacat City College, The Hauslands planted 100 balacat trees at The Hauslands Mabalacat. With this initiative, The Hausland supports efforts to save the endangered tree species and to preserve its existence for future generations.
The Hauslands aims to preserve the city’s namesake to honor the City of Mabalacat through the “Balacat Park” within the subdivision, providing the community a chance to partake in conservation efforts.
Present at the tree planting event was Mabalacat City Mayor Crisostomo C. Garbo, Vice Mayor,
Atty. Gerald Guttrie Aquino, City Councillors Cherry Manalo, Elizabeth R. Pineda, Roland Peña,
Victor Tiglao II, Noelito B. Castro, representatives of Carlo Francis B. Dizon, and Ruvielane S.
Margarito, Marjorie Grace M. Sambo Elmer S. Mendiola, Christian Balangit, Barangay Officials
Elmer R. Calaguas, Noel Christian Maglalang, Jose Noel A. Dimarucut, City Administrator,
Franco Alejo L. Madlangbayan, City ENRO Head, Jeusa M. Santiago, Hausland Development
Corporation (HLDC) Deputy Chief Operating Officer, Maricel Q. Soliman, as well as teachers
and students from the Mabalacat City College.
Addressing the crowd, the HLDC Deputy Chief Operating Officer, Ms. Soliman, said “as our
communities are revitalized by these balacat trees, we hope that this reminds each and every
one of us of our heritage, our history, and our duty to safeguard the environment.”
