About 60 persons participated in the Filipino Brand of Service Excellence (FBSE) Training held by the Department of Tourism (DOT) in San Marcelino, Zambales. Among the participants were the staff of the Municipal Tourism Office; students of President Ramon Magsaysay State University-San Marcelino Campus and GIS Institute of Technology Phils, Inc.-Zambales; and representatives of business establishments, restaurants, resorts, catering services, trail guides, and barangays.
According to DOT-accredited Trainer Gil Tesoro Regondola, the purpose of the FBSE Training is to inform and train the participants in the correct way to deal with and take care of visitors or tourists.
In this regard, the DOT also campaigned to use the “Mabuhay” gesture as the signature oral expression of the Philippines in the town of San Marcelino and throughout the country.
Mayor Elmer Soria thanked the DOT for carrying out the said training.
Among those discussed are 𝗙𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗼 𝗩𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗘𝘅𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲, 𝗨𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗿, 𝗗𝗲𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗚𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗘𝘅𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 and 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆.
The training also focused on the importance of the 7M’s of Filipino Core Values which consist of Godly, Humanitarian, Environmental, National, Joyful, Heroic and Hopeful. (PIA 3)
