On October 15, Presidential candidates Vice President Leni Robredo, Sen. Panfilo Lacson and Sen. Manny Pacquiao revealed their senatorial slate for the upcoming 2022 national elections.
The deadline for the substitution of candidates is November 15. Presidential candidates have until then to complete their slate.
Robredo-Pangilinan senatorial lineup
During a joint press conference held on October 15, Vice President Leni Robredo and Sen. Francis Pangilinan announced their senatorial lineup for the 2022 polls.
Robredo is running for president as an independent candidate, while Pangilinan is running for vice president under the Liberal Party.
Vice President Robredo revealed that the line-up was picked in accordance with what she has been working on even before she has decided to run—“to unify as many people as possible coming from diverse backgrounds hindi lang sa pulitika, pero paminsan kahit sa paniniwala” and to fulfill the dream of those who want to be united.
The Robredo-Pangilinan senatorial line-up:
- Former Ifugao representative Teddy Baguilat Jr. (Liberal Party)
- Former vice president Jejomar Binay (United Nationalist Alliance)
- Sen. Leila de Lima (Liberal Party)
- Chel Diokno (Katipunan ng Nagkakaisang Pilipino)
- Sorsogon Gov. Chiz Escudero (Nationalist People’s Coalition)
- Sen. Richard Gordon (Bagumbayan VNP Movement)
- Sen. Risa Hontiveros (Akbayan Party)
- Author and poet Alex Lacson (Kapatiran Party)
- Former senator Antonio Trillanes (Liberal Party)
- Sen. Joel Villanueva (Independent)
- Sen. Juan Miguel Zubiri (independent)
Among those in the list, the tandem will endorse guest candidates, including Binay, Escudero, Gordon, Villanueva and Zubiri.
Robredo said they are still in the process of selecting among five nominees who will “best represent the marginalized sector” to fill the 12th and last slot.
Pacquiao’s senatorial ticket
Boxing legend and senator Manny Pacquiao also announced his senatorial slate of 10 candidates.
Pacquiao’s running mate is Buhay party-list Rep. Lito Atienza. They are running under the PDP-Promdi Alliance.

- Former Senate secretary and former Eastern Samar governor Lutgardo Barbo (PDP-Laban)
- Former Vice President Jejomar Binay
- Former Bayan Muna Rep. Neri Colmenares (Makabayan)
- Sorsogon Gov. Chiz Escudero
- Sen. Richard Gordon
- Labor rights leader Elmer Labog (Makabayan)
- Antique Rep. Loren Legarda (Nationalist People’s Coalition)
- Broadcaster Raffy Tulfo (Independent)
- Sen. Joel Villanueva
- Sen. Juan Miguel Zubiri
Pacquiao said those in their slate are allowed to be guest candidates for other parties.
Lacson-Sotto tandem bares 14 senatoriables
Presidential candidate Sen. Panfilo Lacson and running mate Sen. Vicente “Tito” Sotto III also revealed on October 15 their senatorial lineup of 14 candidates, even as there are only 12 seats to fill.
Majority of their senatorial candidates are from the Nationalist Peoples’ Coalition and others from different political groups.
Some in their slate have also been endorsed by Robredo and Pacquiao’s camps.

The Lacson-Sotto tandem announced that they will reveal a surprise candidate on November 15.
Other presidentiables Sen. Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa, Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso and Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr., have yet to announce their senatorial slate.
