Land for housing of Angeleños paid for

Angeles City Mayor Carmelo ‘Pogi’ Lazatin Jr. on January 23, 2024 turned over the payment for the land acquired from the Narciso Family. The check was received by Eloisa ‘Elie’ Narciso.

To recall, Mayor Lazatin signed a Memorandum of Agreement with the Narciso Family for the on-site relocation of 3,000 informal settler-families in Barangay Amsic.

The city government purchased the 158,516 square meter land that the families are currently occupying.

This is an effort of Mayor Lazatin to provide a decent housing and land for the urban poor families.

The Angeles City Government had undertaken programs to uplift the condition of the underprivileged and homeless citizens in urban areas and in resettlement areas by making decent housing available at affordable cost.

This is also part of the program of the city government to reduce if not totally eradicate squatting in the city.

Also in photos are City Councilor Atty. Arvin Suller, Barangay Amsic Captain Gerom Costales, Chief Adviser IC Calaguas, City Administrator Atty. Willie Rivera, and Angeles City Human Settlement and Urban Development Office (ACHSUDO) Deputy Rowel Nava.
