NLEX Corporation, with partner Leighton Contractors (Asia) Limited, continues its efforts to clear water lilies blocking the waterways under the Candaba Viaduct. The cleanup, which started after the typhoon onslaught, has reduced the water lily build-up and will be completed by the first week of September 2024.
A significant quantity of water lily accumulated underneath the Candaba Viaduct during Typhoon Carina, preventing water surface passages in the Pampanga River.
