The Bureau of Customs – Port of Clark marked a significant milestone with the inauguration and blessing of its newly renovated building, an upgrade aimed at enhancing service delivery and reinforcing its commitment to industry stakeholders. Commissioner Bienvenido Y. Rubio and Acting District Collector Jairus S. Reyes led the ceremony, celebrating this achievement alongside prominent figures from key organizations in Clark Freeport Zone.
Attendees included Clark Development Corporation (CDC) President and CEO Atty. Agnes VST Devanadera, Luzon International Premiere Airport Development Corporation (LIPAD) President and CEO Noel Manankil, and representatives from Clark International Airport Corporation (CIAC) and Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA). Their presence underscored the collaborative spirit that defines the customs and trade operations in the region.
The updated facility is designed to support a more efficient, adaptable workspace aligned with the Bureau’s commitment to improving public service. Acting District Collector Reyes emphasized the building’s broader significance, stating, “Today is more than just the unveiling of a new building. It represents the collective efforts, commitment, and vision of our Bureau to provide a more efficient, welcoming, and supportive environment for both our staff and the stakeholders we serve, in line with our Commissioner’s Five-Point Priority Program and President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s directives to enhance government services and uphold employee welfare.”
With modernized facilities, the Port of Clark is better positioned to fulfill the Bureau’s core mandates of border protection, trade facilitation, and revenue collection. The upgraded environment aligns with Commissioner Rubio’s Five-Point Priority Program and President Marcos’s vision for a modern, accessible, and effective government service framework.
