Residents of Pasig City, particularly those from vulnerable sectors, will gain access to practical financial education under a new partnership among the BDO Foundation, Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP), and Pasig City Government.

The initiative aims to help relocated families, micro-entrepreneurs, persons recovering from drug use, solo parents, persons with disabilities, senior citizens, and other Pasigueños develop sound financial management skills, strengthen their economic well-being, and build long-term financial resilience.

Aligned with the BSP’s National Strategy for Financial Inclusion, the program will complement the city government’s existing livelihood and social reintegration efforts.

Zenaida Concepcion, officer-in-charge of the Pasig City Anti-Drug Abuse Office, said financial education can help beneficiaries manage and sustain their businesses after completing livelihood and skills training.

BDO Foundation President Mario A. Deriquito said empowering Filipinos with financial knowledge can contribute to stronger families and communities while supporting broader efforts to reduce poverty and promote inclusive and sustainable development.

The initiative is part of BDO Foundation’s continuing financial education advocacy with BSP and various public and private sector partners to help more Filipinos develop healthy financial habits and achieve greater financial security.
