Seventy-seven local government units (LGUs) in Central Luzon earned a perfect 100% rating in the 2023 Anti-Drug Abuse Council (ADAC) Performance Audit, recognizing their outstanding contributions to the national anti-illegal drug campaign.

The achievements were celebrated during the 2024 Gawad Timpukan, where Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Regional Director Anthony Nuyda underscored the significance of the milestone. “This event reflects on our accomplishments, identifies areas for growth, and honors those delivering efficient and responsive public service. Your achievements embody a government that is truly matino, mahusay, at maaasahan,” Nuyda said.

The ADAC Performance Awards recognizes LGUs for their exemplary efforts in supporting the national government’s anti-illegal drug campaign through the Buhay Ingatan, Droga’y Ayawan (BIDA) program. High-functionality ADACs are determined based on criteria such as maintaining drug-cleared or drug-free status, achieving at least 80% functionality among barangay ADACs, and reducing drug cases in their jurisdictions.
