The League of Tourism Students of the Philippines-Mabalacat City College (MCC) Chapter, along with the Institute of Hospitality and Tourism Management Student Council and Faculty, led a community extension program titled “Empowering Aeta Youth: Developing Tour Guiding Skills for Sustainable Tourism.” The initiative aimed to equip Grade 9 and 10 Aeta youth with valuable tour guiding skills to promote tourism in Clark.
Tourism students who had completed tour guiding training from the Department of Tourism Region 3 conducted the hands-on session, focusing on technical knowledge and sustainable tourism. The organization also provided essential tools for tour guiding, including uniforms and a printer to support the Aeta students’ academic needs.
The program not only aimed to provide career opportunities but also helped preserve cultural heritage while introducing the youth to modern tourism practices.
