DBP breaks ground for Central Luzon Hub in Pampanga

The Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP) has officially broken ground for its new branch and office building at the Diosdado Macapagal Government Center (DMGC), strengthening its presence at the heart of Central Luzon’s administrative hub.

The soon-to-rise facility will house a branch lite unit, the Central Luzon Branch Banking Group, and eventually the San Fernando Lending Center. Designed to be a one-stop shop for clients, the new DBP building will cater to government agencies, LGUs, and business sectors including MSMEs.

“Even before this building, DBP has been a key partner in Central Luzon’s development. But our physical presence here at the DMGC allows us to better serve our core clients,” said DBP Central Luzon Branch Banking Group Head Francis Thaddeus Rivera.

DBP President and CEO Michael De Jesus emphasized that the Pampanga community’s support has been instrumental in DBP’s regional growth. “This expansion is not just about a building. It reflects our commitment to improving service and supporting priority sectors like infrastructure, tourism, health, and MSMEs.”

DBP Chairperson Philip Lo noted that plans for this regional hub began in 2023, and are now being realized to expand the bank’s reach and impact. “This facility will bring development financing closer to more Filipinos.”

Ryanna Bulatao of DBP San Fernando expressed appreciation to stakeholders, calling the milestone a “signal of growth, potential, and deeper presence for DBP in the region.”

Welcoming DBP as the 52nd agency at DMGC, Management Committee Chair and PIA Regional Director William Beltran affirmed the center’s role as a central hub for accessible and efficient government services. “This move strengthens our shared vision of transforming public service delivery in Central Luzon.”

DBP currently operates three branches in Pampanga—Clark, Guagua, and San Fernando—alongside a dedicated lending center.
