Now on its fourth year, NLEX Corporationβs BiyaHero Road Safety Caravan continues to drive change where it matters mostβon the road. Held from July 3 to 5, 2025 at the SMX Convention Center Manila, this yearβs caravan gathered over 300 drivers, transport operators, and mechanics in partnership with the Philippine Commercial Vehicle Show, reinforcing NLEXβs commitment to safer roads for all.
βThis isnβt just an eventβitβs a life-saving movement,β said Luis S. ReΓ±on, Officer-In-Charge of NLEX Corporation. βWeβre building a culture of proactive safety and smarter driving across the transport industry.β

As part of NLEXβs broader βMission Road Safetyβ advocacy, the three-day caravan united key players from over a dozen transport groupsβincluding CTAP, INHTA, HATAW, ALTODAP, ACTO, and moreβoffering hands-on training on accident prevention, vehicle compliance, and emergency response.
Participants heard from national transport leaders like DOTr Director Joshua Joseph Rodriguez, who emphasized calling road incidents βcrashesβ instead of βaccidents,β to underscore that most are preventable. LTO Asec. Greg Pua Jr. detailed legal requirements such as helmet use and child car seats, while Shellβs Edward Tan and AC-1βs Dawny Rubillo led discussions on safe cargo handling and journey risk management.
The caravan also featured interactive learning tools, including a driving simulator and drunk goggles, helping participants experience the risks of impaired driving in a controlled setting.
NLEXβs own Safety and Patrol Team, led by Dave Bautista, Eric Cruz, and Maike Lacson, tackled driver preparedness and emergency response along tollways.
βThanks to NLEX and its partners, our drivers are more equipped to protect themselves, their passengers, and the communities they serve,β said INHTA President Teddy Gervacio.
At a time when road crashes remain a pressing concern, BiyaHero continues to push the boundaries of road safety educationβempowering every Filipino driver to be βmay alam at laging handa.β
