Now on its fourth year, NLEX Corporation’s BiyaHero Road Safety Caravan continues to drive change where it matters most—on the road. Held from July 3 to 5, 2025 at the SMX Convention Center Manila, this year’s caravan gathered over 300 drivers, transport operators, and mechanics in partnership with the Philippine Commercial Vehicle Show, reinforcing NLEX’s commitment to safer roads for all.

“This isn’t just an event—it’s a life-saving movement,” said Luis S. Reñon, Officer-In-Charge of NLEX Corporation. “We’re building a culture of proactive safety and smarter driving across the transport industry.”

As part of NLEX’s broader ‘Mission Road Safety’ advocacy, the three-day caravan united key players from over a dozen transport groups—including CTAP, INHTA, HATAW, ALTODAP, ACTO, and more—offering hands-on training on accident prevention, vehicle compliance, and emergency response.

Participants heard from national transport leaders like DOTr Director Joshua Joseph Rodriguez, who emphasized calling road incidents “crashes” instead of “accidents,” to underscore that most are preventable. LTO Asec. Greg Pua Jr. detailed legal requirements such as helmet use and child car seats, while Shell’s Edward Tan and AC-1’s Dawny Rubillo led discussions on safe cargo handling and journey risk management.

The caravan also featured interactive learning tools, including a driving simulator and drunk goggles, helping participants experience the risks of impaired driving in a controlled setting.

NLEX’s own Safety and Patrol Team, led by Dave Bautista, Eric Cruz, and Maike Lacson, tackled driver preparedness and emergency response along tollways.

At a time when road crashes remain a pressing concern, BiyaHero continues to push the boundaries of road safety education—empowering every Filipino driver to be “may alam at laging handa.”
