Now on its fourth year, NLEX Corporationโ€™s ๐๐ข๐ฒ๐š๐‡๐ž๐ซ๐จ ๐‘๐จ๐š๐ ๐’๐š๐Ÿ๐ž๐ญ๐ฒ ๐‚๐š๐ซ๐š๐ฏ๐š๐ง continues to drive change where it matters mostโ€”on the road. Held from July 3 to 5, 2025 at the SMX Convention Center Manila, this yearโ€™s caravan gathered over 300 drivers, transport operators, and mechanics in partnership with the Philippine Commercial Vehicle Show, reinforcing NLEXโ€™s commitment to safer roads for all.

โ€œThis isnโ€™t just an eventโ€”itโ€™s a life-saving movement,โ€ said Luis S. Reรฑon, Officer-In-Charge of NLEX Corporation. โ€œWeโ€™re building a culture of proactive safety and smarter driving across the transport industry.โ€

As part of NLEXโ€™s broader โ€˜Mission Road Safetyโ€™ advocacy, the three-day caravan united key players from over a dozen transport groupsโ€”including CTAP, INHTA, HATAW, ALTODAP, ACTO, and moreโ€”offering hands-on training on accident prevention, vehicle compliance, and emergency response.

Participants heard from national transport leaders like DOTr Director Joshua Joseph Rodriguez, who emphasized calling road incidents โ€œcrashesโ€ instead of โ€œaccidents,โ€ to underscore that most are preventable. LTO Asec. Greg Pua Jr. detailed legal requirements such as helmet use and child car seats, while Shellโ€™s Edward Tan and AC-1โ€™s Dawny Rubillo led discussions on safe cargo handling and journey risk management.

The caravan also featured interactive learning tools, including a driving simulator and drunk goggles, helping participants experience the risks of impaired driving in a controlled setting.

NLEXโ€™s own Safety and Patrol Team, led by Dave Bautista, Eric Cruz, and Maike Lacson, tackled driver preparedness and emergency response along tollways.

โ€œThanks to NLEX and its partners, our drivers are more equipped to protect themselves, their passengers, and the communities they serve,โ€ said INHTA President Teddy Gervacio.

At a time when road crashes remain a pressing concern, BiyaHero continues to push the boundaries of road safety educationโ€”empowering every Filipino driver to be โ€œmay alam at laging handa.โ€
