Residents of Mabalacat City continue to flock to the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) office for the fourth day of voter registration ahead of the Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) scheduled for December 2025.
According to Mabalacat Election Officer Maria Lourdes Alfaro, the COMELEC office is open Monday to Sunday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Services available include new registration, correction of entries, change of status or surname, and reactivation of registration records. However, transfer of registration records is not allowed for the upcoming BSKE.
Alfaro reminded the public that barangay certifications and cedulas will not be accepted as valid documents for registration.
On August 1, COMELEC Chairman Atty. George Garcia and other commissioners visited Sitio Monicayo in Barangay Calumpang for a satellite registration dedicated to the Aeta communities in Marcos and Macapagal Villages.
While the President is expected to sign a law postponing the elections, COMELEC continues its preparations. **Voter registration in Mabalacat City will run until August 10, 2025.
