Former Angeles City Mayor and now Pampanga First District Representative Carmelo βPogiβ Lazatin Jr. left behind over β±1.5 billion in cash when he stepped down from office on June 30, 2025, according to the Commission on Audit (COA) report on the cityβs financial position.
COAβs Statement of Financial Position shows that as of June 30, 2025, the cityβs Total Current Assets amounted to β±1.72 billion, with β±1.53 billion in Cash and Cash Equivalents, and the rest in receivables, inventories, and prepayments. Total Non-Current Assets reached β±9.36 billion, largely made up of property, plant, and equipment.


This brings the total assets of Angeles City to β±11.08 billion, up from β±9.49 billion the same time last year.
The financial statements were certified by Angeles City Auditor Amelita Inovero, confirming the cityβs solid fiscal standing during Lazatinβs transition out of office.
