Mayor Carmelo “Jon” Lazatin II underscored that ensuring visitor safety remains a top priority as Angeles City continues to position itself as a premier culinary destination.
In a courtesy visit by LIPAD (Luzon International Premier Airport Development) President and CEO Noel Manankil and his team, updates on Clark International Airport’s expansion were shared, highlighting its role in boosting accessibility for local and foreign tourists.
Mayor Jon said the Angeles City Tourism Office is working closely with stakeholders and law enforcement to guarantee a safe and enjoyable experience for visitors exploring the city’s world-class cuisine. He added that ongoing tourism branding efforts go hand in hand with maintaining strong police presence for both locals and travelers.
Meanwhile, Clark International Airport is pursuing talks with local and international airlines to expand its route network and increase weekly flight movements, while also attracting cargo providers. Recent developments include the new SM City Clark check-in facility and partnerships with local entrepreneurs to showcase Kapampangan heritage.
With its ACI Level 1 accreditation for Customer Experience, Clark Airport’s growth aligns with Angeles City’s goal of making Central Luzon a gateway to the world—where tourists can savor authentic Kapampangan flavors in a safe, welcoming environment.
