Gov. Nanay, Sen. JV Ejercito inspire graduates of PSU Class of 2025

Thousands of students marched onstage as Pampanga State University (formerly Don Honorio Ventura State University) held its commencement exercises for the Class of 2025 on Friday, August 15.

Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda and Senator JV Ejercito graced the ceremony as guest speakers, offering words of encouragement and inspiration to the graduates.

In her message, Gov. Pineda reminded the graduates that true excellence is not only measured by medals or grades but by wholehearted dedication and service in every endeavor. She also emphasized the value of transformational leadership—a kind of leadership rooted in compassion that transforms lives and creates opportunities.

The governor likewise highlighted the provincial government’s education and health programs, which include:

  • Scholarship and Financial Assistance (2018–2024): ₱55.1M for 4,789 board reviewees and exam takers; ₱33.1M for 27,735 ALS passers; ₱301M for 115,511 senior high school students; and ₱770M for 32,975 college students.
  • Alagang Nanay Preventive Health Care Program: providing free check-ups, vaccines, and medicines to ensure a healthier, more progressive Pampanga.

Concluding her speech, Pineda urged the Class of 2025 to be a source of inspiration, remain grounded in their roots, and carry pride in their skills and identity wherever life may lead them.
