Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation (MPTC), the tollways unit of Metro Pacific Investments Corporation (MPIC), has announced key leadership changes effective September 3, 2025.
Gilbert F. Santa Maria has been named President and Chief Executive Officer, succeeding tollways veteran Jose Ma. K. Lim. Santa Maria, who has nearly 30 years of leadership experience in aviation, technology-enabled services, and infrastructure, pledged to focus on completing projects, improving customer experience, and advancing interoperable toll collection.
Marisa V. Conde was appointed Interim Group Chief Finance Officer, bringing extensive expertise in controllership, treasury, and corporate finance within the MPIC Group.
Luis S. Reñon will now serve as President and General Manager of NLEX Corporation, which manages NLEX, SCTEX, and the NLEX Connector. Meanwhile, Christopher Andrew B. Pangilinan will head MPT South Corp.—which covers CAVITEX, the C5 Link, and CALAX—while continuing as President & CEO of Metro Pacific Water.
Lim will support a smooth transition and retain advisory and board roles within MPIC.
MPTC is the country’s leading toll road developer and operator, with major concessions in Luzon and Cebu and investments in Indonesia and Vietnam.
