Philippine Airlines (PAL) Aviation School has marked another milestone in its legacy of pilot training as 14 cadets from its AO Class 2025 Alpha departed for Australia to undergo advanced flight training under the airline’s partnership with Airways Aviation.
The send-off ceremony was held on September 28, 2025, at the Lucio K. Tan, Jr. (LKTJ) Center, where PAL officials joined families in expressing support for the trainees. The students will continue their education at Airways Aviation’s Gold Coast campus in Australia, following their initial training in the Philippines.
“Through the halls of the PAL Aviation School pass the best and brightest pilots who continue to uphold the principles of discipline, professionalism, and commitment to duty,” said Capt. Roland Narciso, PAL Senior Vice President – Operations Group. He added that the partnership with Airways Aviation ensures world-class standards through innovative programs and state-of-the-art facilities.
Established in the early 1960s, the PAL Aviation School has produced over a thousand pilots, many of whom have become leaders in the Philippine aviation industry. The airline continues to strengthen its training programs to meet the growing demand for pilots, especially as PAL prepares to expand its fleet with nine new Airbus A350-1000 aircraft beginning late 2025 and 13 new Airbus A321neo jets starting 2026.
