The #BatangPinoy2025 National Championships officially opened on Saturday, 25 October, at the Acharon Sports Complex in General Santos City, highlighted by appearances from two Filipino sporting icons — eight-division world boxing champion Manny Pacquiao and Tokyo Olympics gold medalist Hidilyn Diaz of Zamboanga.
The national youth games, which serve as a breeding ground for future sports champions, gathered 18,698 athletes and 4,397 coaches from across the country competing in 27 sports disciplines — including archery, athletics, boxing, gymnastics, swimming, and more.
Open to athletes aged 12 to 17, Batang Pinoy continues to promote grassroots sports development and national pride through healthy competition.
Pasig City emerged as the overall champion in the 2024 edition, bagging 105 gold, 64 silver, and 116 bronze medals.
