The Mutya ning Kapampangan 2025: Local Costume Competition brought Pampanga’s rich heritage to life on stage at the Kingsborough International Convention Center on Saturday, November 29.
Vibrantly crafted costumes inspired by Kapampangan history and traditions wowed the audience, with each contestant showcasing unique designs that highlighted the province’s artistry, culture, and identity. Every ensemble served as a testament to the skill, creativity, and craftsmanship of Kapampangans.

Board Member Kaye Naguit, chairperson of the event, expressed Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda’s full support for promoting cultural development through the Arts, Culture & Tourism Office. “We are not only here to witness beauty and grace but to celebrate Pampanga’s rich cultural heritage through the creativity and talents of our young mutyas. This activity is a showcase of tradition, culture, and pure creativity,” she said.
Arayat took home the Best in Local Costume award, followed by Mexico as 1st Runner-up, Sasmuan as 2nd Runner-up, Magalang as 3rd Runner-up, and the City of San Fernando as 4th Runner-up.
The competition proved once again that Pampanga’s beauty goes beyond its landscapes and cuisine—it shines through its culture, stories, and the enduring pride of being Kapampangan.
