PSAU students, US Peace Corps connect in Volunteerism Seminar

Students from Pampanga State Agricultural University (PSAU) engaged with US Peace Corps Volunteers during the seminar–forum “Volunteerism: Students’ Awareness, Unity, and Purpose” at the Rafael Lazatin Audio-Visual Center.

The program opened with welcome remarks from Dr. Sylvia S. De Guzman, VP for Academic Affairs, and an introduction of speakers by John Paul S. Viray, University Volunteerism Focal Person.

Participants gained insights on youth engagement and community service through talks by Dr. Francelle Calub of Tarlac State University on community organizing, and Kris Angeles, PYAP Camiling Chapter President, on leading youth through volunteerism. The highlight was a dialogue forum with Peace Corps Volunteers, where students asked questions and shared perspectives on global service.

Closing remarks by Rhamil Mesina, Supreme Student Council President, emphasized unity, purpose, and active participation in volunteerism.
