Globe, Ayala Foundation launch CENTEX Digital Education wallet on GlobeOne

Globe Telecom, in partnership with the Department of Education, local government units, and the Ayala Foundation, has launched the CENTEX Digital Education wallet on the GlobeOne app to help address learning gaps in public schools through technology-supported teaching and community support.

The initiative supports the continued expansion of the CENTEX Digital Education program, which promotes a “High Touch, High Tech” approach to learning. The model combines digital learning modules, in-person coaching, and Professional Learning Communities to help teachers use digital tools and real-time data in delivering targeted instruction based on students’ learning needs.

CENTEX Digital Education is anchored on the principle that technology alone cannot solve learning challenges without strong teacher support systems and data-driven instruction. Through real-time data and community engagement, teachers can adjust lessons to ensure learning is responsive and timely for every student.

The program’s pilot implementation in San Marcelino, Zambales recorded a 13.8-percentage point improvement in math learning outcomes among students in participating schools compared to control schools within just 12 weeks.

“Learning improves when technology is paired with care, guidance, and accountability,” said Globe Chief Sustainability and Corporate Communications Officer Yoly Crisanto. “CENTEX Digital Education reflects our commitment to help teachers lead confident digital classrooms and ensure students learn at the right level, not just move through the system.”

The program also aims to empower educators to become confident, data-driven mentors who can address individual learning needs while helping students gain early exposure to digital tools that build confidence and future readiness.

“CENTEX is about helping students learn better by supporting the teachers who guide them,” said Ayala Foundation President Tony Lambino. “By strengthening teacher capacity and using data to inform instruction, we help teachers differentiate learning and provide support that responds to each student’s needs.”

Globe customers may support the initiative through Globe Rewards or GoGIVE, where donations help fund Digital Learning Labs, connectivity support, and learning platforms such as Khan Academy for personalized education.

More than 8,000 students and over 300 public school teachers are expected to benefit directly from the program. The initiative also aims to develop local teacher-leaders and strengthen collaboration with LGUs and the Department of Education, making the program scalable and sustainable across the public school system.

Through the partnership, Globe continues to promote digital inclusion in education, ensuring that Filipino learners have access to quality learning opportunities in an evolving digital landscape.
