The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) and Metro Manila mayors on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, approved a resolution exempting fuel trucks and cargo vehicles carrying essential goods from the Unified Vehicle Volume Reduction Program (UVVRP).
MMDA Chairperson Don Artes said the move follows a request from the Department of Energy and the Department of Trade and Industry to ensure faster delivery of petroleum products and essential commodities amid tensions in the Middle East.
Vince Dizon also attended the meeting in Pasig City to provide updates on flood control projects.
