Pangasinan 2nd District Representative Mark O. Cojuangco held a dialogue with Bishop Jacinto Jose of the Diocese of Urdaneta to discuss his advocacy for nuclear energy as a driver of economic growth.
The meeting focused on the potential of nuclear power to significantly lower electricity costs, which Cojuangco said could benefit Filipino households and businesses. He noted that cheaper power rates would increase disposable income for families and make the Philippines more attractive to foreign investors.
“With nuclear energy, we can cut electricity costs by as much as half. This will allow families to spend more on essential needs like food and education, while also encouraging investments that create jobs,” Cojuangco said.
He added that increased investments and economic activity could lead to more employment opportunities and improved quality of life for Filipinos.
