The Mabalacat City government distributed first-quarter local social pensions to 624 senior citizens from seven barangays, as part of its ongoing support program for the elderly.

The payout was led by Mayor Geld Aquino, with assistance from Vice Mayor Jun Castro and councilors Pat Acorda and Benny Jocson.

Distribution was held at the Macapagal Covered Court for beneficiaries from Calumpang (72), Macapagal Village (87), Marcos Village (87), and Bundagul (115), while residents from Paralayunan (62), Sapang Balen (80), and Sta. Maria (111) received their assistance at the Paralayunan Covered Court.

The activity was conducted in coordination with the Office of Senior Citizens Affairs, headed by Popoy Waje, and organized by the Mabalacat Government in Action Center.

Mayor Aquino said the program aims to help ease the daily and medical expenses of senior citizens. Beneficiaries, meanwhile, expressed gratitude for the financial assistance provided by the local government.
