Pampanga First District Representative Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin Jr. has expressed gratitude to the Mabalacat City Council for supporting his proposed measures aimed at strengthening social services for vulnerable sectors.
The Sangguniang Panlungsod approved Resolution No. 272, Series of 2026, expressing support for Lazatin’s key House bills focused on persons with autism, senior citizens, and persons with disabilities (PWDs). The resolution, approved on March 19, was formally transmitted to his office on April 21.
Among the measures cited are House Bill No. 5125, which seeks to establish national and provincial autism centers; House Bill No. 2422, which proposes the creation of “Bale Pusu” homes for abandoned and indigent elderly in all cities and municipalities; and House Bill No. 7290, which aims to expand benefits for PWDs through amendments to the Magna Carta for Persons with Disability.
Cong Pogi said the council’s support strengthens efforts to push for inclusive and responsive social programs.
Earlier, the Angeles City Council also passed similar resolutions backing the same set of proposed measures.
