The Angeles City government continues to strengthen its environmental programs with ongoing tree maintenance activities at the Sapangbato Watershed, aimed at preserving ecological balance and protecting natural resources for future generations.
Under the leadership of Mayor Carmelo “Jon” B. Lazatin II, the City Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO) recently conducted a watering activity for newly planted seedlings on May 4, 2026, in Sitio Target, located near an Aeta community in Barangay Sapangbato.

The initiative forms part of the city’s Tree Maintenance and Protection Program, which ensures the continued growth and survival of trees planted within the watershed area.
City officials said sustained rehabilitation and care of the Sapangbato Watershed play a crucial role in safeguarding water supply and preserving vital resources that support the livelihood and well-being of Angeleños.
The local government reaffirmed its commitment to environmental stewardship through consistent conservation efforts across key areas in the city.
