Angeles City prepares for Minor Basilica proclamation

The Angeles City Government has intensified its preparations for the historic Minor Basilica Proclamation of the Holy Rosary Parish Church set on June 10, with various sectors coming together to ensure the orderly and secure conduct of the event.

Under the leadership of Carmelo Lazatin II, the city government recently conducted a coordination meeting with church officials and partner agencies to finalize plans and operational preparations for the anticipated religious celebration.

Among those present during the meeting were representatives from the Angeles City Police Office, Angeles City Traffic and Development Office, Tourism Office, City Information Office, General Services Office, City Engineer’s Office, City Budget Office, City Health Office, officials of the Holy Rosary Parish, as well as representatives from JDN Realty and Holy Angel University.

Key matters discussed during the meeting included traffic management, road closure plans, parking arrangements, security measures, crowd control, emergency medical readiness, and the overall program flow for guests and dignitaries expected to attend the proclamation rites.

City officials said the initiative reflects the strong partnership among the local government, the Church, and the private sector in preserving and honoring the rich faith, culture, and identity of the Angeleño community.

With all sectors working together, the city government assured the public that the upcoming Minor Basilica Proclamation will be conducted peacefully, safely, and with full reverence for the long-standing Catholic traditions of Angeles City.
