CIDG seizes ₱247K illegal beauty products in Angeles City

The Criminal Investigation and Detection Group confiscated around ₱247,250 worth of alleged unregistered cosmetic and beauty products during a law enforcement operation conducted at a beauty clinic along MacArthur Highway in Balibago, Angeles City on May 7, 2026.

Operatives from the CIDG Angeles City Field Unit, together with personnel from the Philippine Air Force and intelligence units of the Armed Forces of the Philippines, arrested three female suspects, including a Vietnamese national identified only as “Phan,” the alleged clinic manager, along with employees identified as “Aida” and “Kim.”

Authorities said the suspects were allegedly caught storing and selling cosmetic and beauty products without proper registration from the Food and Drug Administration and operating without the required License to Operate.

Among the confiscated items were injectable skincare products, whitening creams, hair treatments, vitamins and supplements, chemical peeling agents, herbal products, and other medical supplies.

According to CIDG Director PMGen Robert Morico II, the operation was conducted in line with Republic Act 9711 or the Food and Drug Administration Act of 2009, which prohibits the manufacture, importation, distribution, and sale of health products without proper authorization.

CIDG also warned the public to remain cautious when purchasing cosmetic and health products due to the increasing presence of counterfeit and unregistered items in the market.
