The Angeles City Government, led by Mayor Carmelo ‘Jon’ Lazatin II, continues to provide assistance to public utility jeepney drivers through the TUPAD PASADA Program.
Implemented through the City Public Employment Service Office in partnership with the Department of Labor and Employment Pampanga Provincial Office, the program granted financial assistance to beneficiary drivers to help support their daily livelihood and transportation operations.
The initiative aims to ease the burden on jeepney drivers and help them provide for their families amid the continuing increase in fuel prices.
City officials said the program also recognizes the important role of public transport drivers in continuously serving commuters and keeping public transportation moving in the city despite economic challenges.
