SM Active Hub continues to lead the country’s growing pickleball movement after expanding its nationwide network to 86 courts across 29 SM malls, making it the largest mall-based pickleball destination in the Philippines.
In a statement, SM Supermalls said the expansion reflects its continuing commitment to transforming malls into active lifestyle and community hubs where Filipinos can play, compete, and connect.

This year alone, SM Active Hub accelerated the rollout of new pickleball courts in key locations from Luzon to Mindanao, making the fast-rising sport more accessible to players of all ages and skill levels.
Beyond infrastructure, SM Active Hub has also organized more than 100 tournaments, clinics, and open-play activities nationwide. Among its major events this year is the SM Pickleball Super Series Year 2 with Toby’s Sports, following successful legs at SM North EDSA and SM Mall of Asia.
Upcoming qualifying legs are scheduled at SM City Bicutan, SM City Sta. Mesa, SM City Santa Rosa, SM City Marikina, and SM Center Muntinlupa, leading to the finals at Four E-Com Center, SM Active Hub’s newest six-court venue.
SM Active Hub also welcomed several international pickleball stars to its courts, including Filipino-Canadian champion McKonner Dy, professional player James Ignatowich, and Filipino-American athlete Lauren Mercado, who participated in exhibition games, clinics, and community events across different SM malls.
To further grow the sport’s lifestyle appeal, SM introduced community-driven activities such as Pickleball Night Glow, Neon Paddle, and the Pink Paddle Club, combining fitness, entertainment, and social experiences for younger and active audiences.
“Through SM Active Hub, we continue to lead pickleball’s growth in the Philippines by making the sport more accessible, inclusive, and community-driven,” said Joseph Francis V. Silva, Senior Assistant Vice President for Operations of SM Sports & Leisure Centers.
Through the SM Malls Online App, users can book courts, join clinics, and stay updated on pickleball events nationwide. SM Active Hub said its growing community now has over 130,000 members.
SM Supermalls remains committed to promoting active lifestyles and strengthening communities through sports and innovative recreational experiences.
