June 15, 2026 has been declared a Special (Non-Working) Day in AngelesCity under Proclamation No. 1293 signed by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.

The declaration marks the 35th anniversary of the Mt. Pinatubo eruption, a historic event that tested the resilience and unity of the Kapampangan people.

The Angeles City Government encourages Angeleños to participate in commemorative activities and reflect on the lessons and strength gained from one of the most challenging chapters in the city’s history.
