The Department of Education (DepEd) Region III has officially issued an advisory informing its officials, personnel, and the public about the upcoming SBP Zone 3 Coaches Academy Accreditation 2026, set to take place on June 20-21 at the Bacolor Mini Convention Center in Bacolor, Pampanga.
Organized by SBP Zone 3, the two-day accreditation program will begin at 8 a.m. and is expected to bring together basketball coaches from across Central Luzon for training, certification, and professional development.
The academy aims to equip coaches with updated coaching methodologies and best practices aligned with national basketball standards. It also seeks to enhance the skills and competencies of coaches who play a vital role in developing young athletes at the grassroots level.
Beyond accreditation, the program will serve as a venue for learning, collaboration, and the exchange of ideas among coaches committed to advancing basketball development in the region.
SBP Zone 3 welcomed the issuance of the DepEd advisory, noting that the support of the education sector strengthens efforts to promote coaching excellence and elevate the quality of basketball programs in schools and communities.
The Coaches Academy Accreditation forms part of the continuing initiatives of the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas to professionalize coaching and strengthen the country’s basketball development pathway from the grassroots level upward.
