Congressman Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin Jr. delivered the commencement address at Pampanga State Agricultural University on June 23, 2026, where he called on graduates to play an active role in nation-building and uphold integrity in their personal and professional lives.

Lazatin emphasized the importance of youth participation in shaping the country’s future, saying, “We need the youth to step up and take charge, and I hope that you recognize the importance of your participation and contribution to shaping this country.”

He also encouraged graduates to strengthen their love for the country amid challenges, adding, “I hope that in these trying times, you learn to love our country even more. And above all else, I hope that you leave the halls of this university with a strong sense of integrity – so that you may be able to do the right thing, even when no one is watching.”
