BJMP personnel plant 35 trees in Angeles City

Personnel of the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) participated in a tree-planting activity at Puning Hot Spring in Sitio Target, Barangay Sapang Bato on June 23 as part of the bureau’s 35th anniversary celebration and the nationwide simultaneous tree-planting initiative.

The activity was conducted in coordination with the City Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO) of Angeles City, led by CENRO Officer Carmelo Simbulan.

A total of 12 BJMP personnel, headed by SJO1 Baby Diana M. Pineda, Chief of the Administrative Section, joined the environmental effort.

During the activity, participants planted 35 fruit-bearing guyabano tree seedlings, symbolizing the bureau’s commitment to environmental protection and sustainable development.

BJMP officials said the initiative highlights the importance of collective action in preserving the environment, promoting ecological balance, and creating a greener future for the next generation.
