More than 14,000 devotees aboard over 700 boats joined the 182nd Libad Apung Iru Festival and the town’s 429th fiesta celebration on June 28, showcasing the enduring faith and unity of the Kapampangan community.

Vice Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda joined Apalit Mayor Jun Tetangco, Lubao Mayor Esmeralda Pineda, Minalin Mayor Philip Naguit, and 4th District Board Member Kaye Naguit in welcoming Apung Iru, the beloved patron of Apalit.

During the celebration, Vice Governor Pineda offered prayers for peace, security, and good health for every Kapampangan. The Apalit local government said this year’s festival was among the biggest in recent years in terms of devotees and participants.

The three-day annual celebration honors Apung Iru in thanksgiving for the blessings, guidance, and enduring faith shared by the people of Apalit.
