The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) reaffirmed its respect for every Filipino’s constitutional right to peacefully assemble and express their views as the Iglesia ni Cristo rally took place along EDSA.

In a statement, the DILG said it has directed the Philippine National Police (PNP), in coordination with the concerned local government unit, to implement maximum tolerance, security measures, and traffic management to ensure the activity remains peaceful, orderly, and safe.

The agency also urged participants and stakeholders to exercise their rights responsibly, uphold the rule of law, and cooperate with authorities while reaffirming its commitment to protecting public safety and constitutional freedoms.
