The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office 3 has intensified its preparedness measures as Super Typhoon “Bavi” (local name “Inday”) and the enhanced southwest monsoon threaten Central Luzon.
The Disaster Response Management Division (DRMD) convened a Preparedness for Response Meeting to ensure swift, adequate, and timely assistance to families that may be affected by the weather systems.

Officials discussed warehouse capacity, inventory of Food Items for Disposal, and updated Plans of Action, along with reports from the Disaster Response and Rehabilitation Section (DRRS). The agency also maintained close coordination with local and provincial governments across Central Luzon.
Project Development Officers assigned in seven SWAD offices were mobilized to ensure accurate and timely data gathering on the impact of the weather disturbances.
DSWD FO3 said its “Angels in Red Vests” remain on standby for rapid response operations, emphasizing its commitment to ensure that no family is left behind amid disasters.
